Bank Loan Rating (BLR)

With respect to the Monetary Policy for FY 2018-19, Nepal Rastra Bank published a Circular 01 dated July 18, 2018 effectively implementing the borrower rating which states “While sanctioning new loan or renewal of existing loan for NPR 500 million (50 Crores) or more to a borrower, BFI (Class A, B and C) should consider rating of borrower by licensed rating agency as base for loan appraisal.”

Infrastructure and Project Finance

Gradings of IPO

Infomerics Nepal’s aims to aid the assessment of equity issues offered to the public by providing the service of IPO Gradings. The Grade assigned to any individual IPO is a symbolic representation of Infomerics’ assessment of the “fundamentals” of the issuer concerned on a relative Grading scale. IPO Grades are assigned on a five-point point scale, where IPO Grade 1 indicates the highest Grading and IPO Grade 5 the lowest Grading. An IPO Grade is not an opinion on the price of the issue, pre- or post-listing.
